Flooring complete in the Barron Hall Connector! Drywall has been added to the low wall.

The Sanctuary: Vestibule painting and flooring is complete! Temporary power for the lights has been added.

Intent for Sanctuary to be available on 11/9.  Staff updated and tested the mic wiring while stage was open. The piano is being tuned and a deep clean is scheduled.

Zone D (Chapel wing): Bathrooms roughed in; plumbing work continues

The admin area is looking good as furniture and artwork are being added to offices and common areas!

The Sanctuary is where the most signicant work has been done this week:

• Organ and piano have been moved onto the chancel.
• Chancel stairs and risers set to be completed next week.
• Drywall was completed in the Vestibule and it’s ready for paint on Monday.
• Brick work complete in the enclosed gravel area.

Elevator Pit: Gravel laid and ready for the concrete foundation to be poured.

The new columbarium niches were installed! This space will be complete once the covers and lighting are installed.

The chancel floor and chair rail in the Sanctuary are complete!

The final Sanctuary storefront doors were installed!

SANCTUARY VESTIBULE: HVAC installed and inspected & Electrical work complete

Spitzer Parking lot:  patches complete, curb installed, and striping started

ZONE D: last steel added, Infil interior walls, framing started

SANCTUARY: We’re getting close!

• The first coats of stain are complete; finish work to follow. 
• Sanctuary Vestibule: electrical work complete, the glass door has been added (see picture below), and the drywall should be installed over the next two weeks.

ZONE D: Masons have started the block work for the new, smaller Fellowship Hall.

THE NEW CHURCH OFFICE!

• Admin and program staff have moved in to their new offices. Pastors are planning moves in the next few weeks as schedules allow.  We expect the Barron Hall connector to be completed by next week.  At that point, we should be done with construction on this side of the building.

• Underground plumbling completed
• Concrete poured for the small fellowship hall

• Walkthrough with contractor on Friday, Sept 19:  Once some minor details are completed, the staff will be ready to move in!

Sanctuary:

• Electrical rough is complete and the ceiling framework has started for the new porte-cochere entrance
• The design team has finalized the new choir chairs, which will be ordered soon.

• Second pour complete for infiltration pit (expect approximately 1 month before we can drive on it)

Zone B (Admin Offices)

• Fire alarm system is being updated
• Handrails installed in stairwell
• Stairwell to be painted soon
• Glass storefront installed in connector between office and Barron Hall

Sanctuary:

• Framing of Narthex started (see picture)
• Plywood for the Chancel rail delivered
• Glass measured for Sanctuary storefront
• small outdoor area between Sanctuary and ramp prepped for pea gravel and drain

Zone B: The carpet tiles and base completed…stairs remain!

• Frames and doors installed in connector between Barron Hall and offices
• Patch and touch up work on walls
• Roofers continue work on dormers
• Plumbers onsite to prep for inspection
• Clean up starting for inspection

Zone D: The steel for foundation support was delivered and installed. Next will be removal of the temporary shoring and move to the exterior wall before it is demolished and rebuilt.

The infiltration pit is prepped for concrete.

Zone B: The carpet has arrived and there are tentative plans to install this weekend!

Sanctuary: Concrete work complete around the Sanctuary! Work on the new ceiling has started. 

The picture shows the infiltration pit at the rear parking lot. This is a water mitigation pit that absorbs the water, yet still allows cars to park once complete.  We expect the pervious concrete pour to start soon, which takes longer to cure than other concrete, and has to be done in stages. Best guess is 5 weeks before we’ll be able to park on it.

Misc: The sewer line was replaced and tied into the city due to collapsed pipes discovered in the construction. This add-on project was necessary, but not considered part of the REACH campaign.

Zone B: Painting complete!  Currently waiting on carpet tiles and baseboards to arrive for installation. Internet lines to be attached next week. Following these updates, the admin office should be ready for occupancy. The dormers were also updated with brick.

Zone D: Concrete poured for the foundation areas in the long hallway. Steel foundations possibly added next week.

Sanctuary: Concrete poured on multiple areas around the Sanctuary and brick infil around the old windows that were removed. The grated area near the ramp room was waterproofed to help with flooding, as well as water rerouted.
