Continued work in all zones this past week…most significant updates have been to the Elevator pit, Sanctuary Narthex, and the long hallway in Zone D.
The elevator pit received first level of shoring going down 5 feet. This process will continue in 5 ft increments until complete. The ramp for construction vehicles in front yard will gradually get larger as the pit goes deeper.
Work on the outside of the Sanctuary is nearly complete with demo stage. The concrete, walls and ceiling have been removed for the new addition which will tie in the Sanctuary through a larger Narthex to the old Ramp room. (see photo).
Reminder: Both worship services will be in Barron Hall until Sanctuary renovations are complete.
In the long hallway of Zone D the shoring is up enabling the demo teams to remove the interior walls. The new space, which includes the Fellowship Hall, will provide a nice large area as an alternative to Barron Hall.
