This week has seen a lot of action on campus. Starting with Zone B, the remainder of the LED lighting has been installed. Flooring was delayed and is expected to start next week. Daikin is on site to get the HVAC system running and final ductwork is being installed. The area looks like it is coming together nicely, we are hoping for a move in during July…it seems possible!
The elevator pit area has been extremely active. All micropiles have been installed and the first 5 ft deep section dug out. Shoring is installed as we dig down in 5ft increments. We think next week the crews will dig down to the 10ft depth level and start the shoring again.
The Sanctuary area is where most of the most noticeable work has been done with lots of demo at the porte cochere entrance and along the long hallway. The crews are prepping the shoring inside of the long hallway in order to remove the interior walls. (see picture). It looks like the crews have all started some of the preliminary framing work in the basement.
Reminder: Both worship services will be in Barron Hall until Sanctuary renovations are complete (appx. 6-8 weeks).
We are excited with the pace of activity and hope to continue!
